But with this advancement the gadgets that have been used are expensive which leads to its high price and least affordability to vast reach of population.
So, to eradicate this reach to various level of society, researchers of the automobile engineering field claimed that the cost range will soon within the range of average person in just 10 years.There is an organization that are working and developing possible cost adjustment for middle and average people by a new ‘eyes and ears’ technology.
The technology basically comprises of a dozen of different sensors installed in an average car, paired with an algorithm that processes the large quantity of data received. This develops meaningful information, which describes the nature of the cars and location of hindrance. Multiple hindrances have been practiced and tested to make it on roll on the streets of countries.
In order to describe this autonomous car generated through a joint venture of multiple researchers from various organizations that even on the basis of commercially viability because it does not require to be connected to internet and can be produced at a low cost. The researchers’ description about their goals and agendas of developing and using affordable sensors, radars, lasers and computer technology is already available on the market, so the car is more likely to be accessible for people.
Unlike the small number of driver less cars that currently present charging hundreds of thousands dollars each as described by the researcher.The driver less or autonomous car can be drove in straight line and sense what is around it. The next step is to give it a ‘brain’ or the computer system which can describe how to react to what is around it and also what to do when an object comes in its path.
Difficulty is there because the car is provided with total control of all functions, different from driver assist technology that focuses on one purpose, for example alerting the driver when the car drifts out of a lane, or cruise control to keep at a certain pace.
This step of affordability is certainly on its way and these autonomous car inventions have the probability to take another decade to develop, with legislation around car insurance will be one of the hardest hurdle need to be overcome. But still there are some interesting issues that will have to dealt with moving forward, containing what actions or decision a car makes when it senses a crash or any type of obstacle then whose fault will be counted- cars, sensors or the driver.
